Craft Group First Meeting

At our first meeting on September 6th we spent time getting to know each other and talked about crafts we were interested in having a go at including crochet, lace-making, knitting, quilting and dressmaking.
One of us has started a rag weaving kit and another has begun beginners’ lace making and hopes to have something to show at the next meeting. An incomplete knitted jumper, rescued from a bottom draw, was brought out into the light and it could be finished by Christmas!
We considered the possibility of getting together at group members houses or even at cafes in the future but this will be discussed again at our next meeting
We have all started our first piece of work and are looking forward to getting together again on 4th October.
If you like the idea of learning a new craft or continuing with one you already enjoy in a creative atmosphere then do come and join us. There are lots of traditional crafts to try out as well as new ones.
