‘Our November meeting took place on the sunny terrace of Sandra Coakley Evans home. It was a beautiful morning and the perfect setting for a photo or two.
Norma’s work (on left in picture)
The wallhanging is of old-fashioned scenes and is meant for my daughter for Christmas.   It depicts many different scenes of byegone days, but the exciting thing is, I have embroidered the names of my daughter and her husband, then their 3 children, and in the next box is their spouses, and then in the bottom box I have embroidered the names of my 7 great grandchildren.   The last box states.. Lovingly stitched by Bobby 2011.  (Bobby is my nickname.)
I bought the printed picture in Sutton Coldfield and have outlined everything with running stitch in gold thread.  I have also included some machine stitching using many of the fancy stitches as borders.
Sandra (on right) is making a quilt for one of her grandchildren based on ‘The Hungry Catapillar’ book.’
