Petanque

Monday this week was a mixed weather day, but all morning the coastal strip remained rain free. That was until the five brave members who trusted my regular weather bulletins all morning started our first game. After just three ends of play, the weather decided to change and with a score of just 6 – 5 (we called it a draw!) we were forced to seek shelter in the closest hostelry. After sheltering under the parasols we realised that they didn’t afford sufficient protection, and we were offered better seats under cover. Such a hardship having to sit it out with a drink, however we survived and will all meet again next Monday, 3pm. Like to join us? Check out the Petanque information on this site. Roland Gillett
