Tribute to Evie (Yvonne Edwards U3A El Morche member), who died last week – RIP, from her friend Jill Perceval

Evie: She may have been small but she had a big personality. Living on the coast for the last ten years she loved cigarettes, cocker spaniels, golf, jigsaw puzzles and white wine. Amazingly, she had once worked as a chauffeur for the Houses of Parliament. “Amazingly”, because here in Spain erratic would be the best word for her driving! With barely a word of Spanish, she lived alone but had a wonderful ability to conjure help from the most surprising places. Sadly, last year she gave up her membership of the Anoreta Golf Club, because of costs! If only we knew….she missed it greatly but never complained. Ask her how she was and she’d always say “I’m fine, Tickedy Boo!” To to many who knew her she was indeed “Tickedy Boo!”
