Walk on 22nd March

This month’s walk had a different focus.
A group of 29 including 5 dogs and 2 children, set off in warm sunshine to walk around the Rio Guadalhorce Nature Reserve, just west of Malaga, armed with cameras and binoculars.
Thanks to Patricia Shaw who led the walk and has a particular interest in nature, we enjoyed seeing a variety of birds at the hides and a wealth of wild flowers along the pathways.
Unfortunately the sun gave way to black clouds and we were caught in a rainstorm on the way back along the beach.
We were unable to cross the river to the warmth of a chiringuito on the opposite side so backtracked to the car parking area.
9 of us drove down to the restaurant and enjoyed a nice lunch whilst everyone else drove home to dry off.
Thanks to Trish Pritchard for the photos. She has really captured the area well.
