Wildside Walking November Report

hi all

Thanks for your company on thursday and thanks to angie for leading another great walk, probably our toughest so far but compensated by magnificent scenery and good weather as usual. next month’s walk will be lower, shorter and hopefully followed by a menu del dia again – more details nearer the time. in the meantime, keith has put together the stats for the latest trek to puerto blanquillo, which was completed by 14 walkers and 3 dogs:

We covered a total of 16.43km, or 10.2 miles. It took us 4hrs 54min 38secs on the move, at an average time of 17.56min per a kilometre with breaks. At an average pace of 5.38kph, or 3.34mph for the whole walk. We started at 694m and climbed to a maximum of 1,209m, a difference of 515m, which we reached after 8.21km. With a total gain in height of 1,175m.
