A cold start to our postponed walk on january 22, which turned out slightly shorter than planned. a steepish climb from the fabrica de la luz near canillas de albaida led to some tremendous views across to gibraltar and north africa. a leisurely stroll down was followed by lunch outside in archez in hot sunshine as usual. There were 20 in the group and according to keith (though i’m inclined to believe linda):
‘We covered 9.57km in 2 hours (disputed by Linda’s app, which I believe stated we took 3hr 20mins). We started at 703m and climbed to a height of 1059m. A gain of 351m. We covered the distance at an average of 12.26min per km.”
Thanks, Hanny, for the photos. Next month’s walk will be on Thursday Feb 13 – details to follow.
